Lens protection

The lens of my GPS was broken when it bumped against some sharp pointed object on a picnic table that was along a bike path. After replacing the lens - which was very expensive- and getting a new case I wanted something more. I am not sure these lens covers will provide any protection if the lens is hit hard but it should protect from things that might scratch the lens.
